Marriott's Commitment to Clean

"As we welcome you back to our hotels around the world, we are committed to providing you with a safe environment that aligns with expert protocols for working to defeat COVID-19. Consisting of in-house and outside experts in food and water safety, hygiene and infection prevention, and hotel operations, our Marriott Cleanliness Council is redefining our cleaning and safety standards. We will actively monitor and evolve our solutions to ensure a continued focus on the health and safety of our guests and associates."

 

What to Expect:

  • Face Coverings: To promote the health and safety of our communities, face coverings are required for guests and associates in all indoor public areas in North America.

  • Enhanced Cleaning Technologies:  Marriott has added to its detailed cleaning practices, requiring all surfaces to be thoroughly cleaned with hospital-grade disinfectants. The company will also be placing disinfecting wipes in each room for guests' personal use. 

    • Enhanced Public Space Cleaning: Using electrostatic sprayers. We have increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfection, particularly in areas with high traffic including restrooms, elevators, and escalators as well as provided more hand sanitizing stations.

    • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Staff members will wear PPE (e.g., face coverings, gloves, etc.) based on the activities they are performing and based on direction by the local authorities. Guests are required to wear personal face coverings when in public areas of the hotel.

    • Electrostatic Spraying: We're utilizing enhanced technologies, including electrostatic sprayers with hospital-grade disinfectants, to support our already rigorous cleanliness protocols.

    • Room Amenities: Mini-Bars are currently not available but guests can request contactless delivery of mini-bar items or have them picked up at the front desk. Disinfectant wipes are available in the room for every arriving guest as well as upon request. Remote controls are covered in protective sleeves for easy disinfecting.

  • Guest Contact: To help alleviate the risk of COVID-19 transmission through person-to-person contact, Web-based Check-In is now available. Marriott has also increased the number of hand sanitizing stations and re-arranged furniture to allow more space for social distancing.

  • Food Safety: Marriott is also enhancing sanitation guidelines and training videos for associates that include hygiene and disinfecting practices. In addition, the company is modifying its operational practices for in-room dining and designing new approaches to buffets.

Responsibilities of Guests

The Marriott is eager to welcome guests from around the world but not at the expense of our Team Members’ health or other guests’ health. Every visitor to the property must undergo a temperature screening before entering. Guests with a temperature above 100.4 will not be permitted to enter. The Marriott also asks that you please reschedule your visit if any of the following are true for any member of your party:

  • If you are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19 or running a fever, please take your temperature prior to departing for the resort. Please seek medical attention and contact us to reschedule your visit.

  • You have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 14 days.

  • You have a compromised immune system or are considered “high risk.”

  • You will not cooperate with the new requirements put in place by health officials and The Marriott.
